Imperial War Museum Duxford is delighted to announce the flying line-up for its most eagerly-anticipated air show in years – The Battle of Britain Air Show – with the worldfamous Red Arrows showcasing on both days accompanied by a remarkable gathering of nearly 20 Spitfires and Hurricanes.

The air show, on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September, will present an evocative commemoration of the aerial battle that proved the strategic turning point in the Second World War. Set against the unique backdrop of Europe’s best preserved Second World War airfield, the air show will remember the pilots and aircraft synonymous with this renowned aerial conflict. Some 60 aircraft will display over the weekend in what is surely set to be one of the best air shows in the UK this year.

As an added highlight, IWM Duxford is pleased to welcome back to the museum the Patrouille de France, the celebrated French aerobatic display team, who will be flying the tricolore with their breath-taking aerial display on Saturday 4th. European air forces are also represented each day by the Belgian Air Component’s impressive F-16 Fighting Falcon display whilst the RAF’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and contemporary aircraft will fly the Union flag.

On the ground, there will be activities for all ages, including funfair rides, bungee trampolines, tank rides and demonstrations, 1940-period re-enactors, a variety of trade stands and the Parachute Regiments’ exciting jump tower.

Buy tickets in advance and receive a 10% discount PLUS receive a FREE child ticket with every Adult or Senior ticket booked. Tickets are also available on the day.

Please note that the Red Arrows will display at 12.25pm on Saturday 4 September with the main air show display taking place between 2.00pm and 5.00pm. On Sunday 5 September the Red Arrows will open the main air show display at 2.00pm, with the show continuing until 5.30pm.
